Part 1 Carlton sat with Yara around the little table in the on-campus pub returning her nervous smile. Neither of them had ever been particularly social with strangers, but their professor had assigned them to a team for a group project. Yara had been particularly grateful for the accommodation of letting Carlton be on the team with her. The pictures and memorabilia supported all the school teams, but he’d never been much of a fan of athletics. Luckily it was a slow night, not enough people to make them uncomfortable.
